Conservation Architects

We work on a variety of listed buildings and buildings of local interest in conservation areas and hold qualifications as Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) and RIBA Conservation Architects (CA). We have a wide range of experience working on or in the curtilage of Grade I listed buildings, Grade II* listed buildings and Grade II listed buildings in sensitive settings. We enjoy the challenge of preserving and adapting historic structures and can help clients navigate the regulatory challenges surrounding these special buildings, including listed building consent and scheduled monument consent.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Bespoke Interior Design Service

We are registered with the British Institute of Interior Designers (BIID), and enjoy how the design of a building extends from the external envelope to the internal layout, appearance and ambiance. We work closely with our clients to provide a holistic approach to projects when required, focusing on all aspects of design, from the architecture through to the tactile items we touch and feel. Furniture, joinery, materiality and fixtures and fittings are all key aspects of the service we can provide.

We also provide creative input for commercial clients. Ensuring the interior design of a space works within (or helps to establish) brand identity guidelines is key for many companies. We can help sole traders, small startups and larger businesses to find their architectural and artistic direction while assisting in refining their style. As a small, design-focused practice, we understand the challenges and opportunities in design and branding within the built environment.

ART & INSTALLATIONS

Working with High-end Brands

We are interested in occupying the intersection between art and architecture. Our installations have led us to collaborate with a variety of clients and brands. We have worked on a selection of immersive and captivating projects that have inspired their users and audience.

We enjoy prototyping and getting hands on with building, and artistic architectural installations allow us to explore this passion in a creative and unique way. Past projects include a floating water pavilion, a forest bird hide and immersive window displays for well-known brands including Gaggenau.

We work with a wide range of mediums, from paper to timber, using unwanted materials where possible and thinking carefully about the whole lifespan of the installation, including disassembly and future reuse or recycling. The material and design explorations and research we undertake as part of the artistic installations creative process feeds back into our architectural building projects, informing our understanding of light, space and surfaces.
